*** ^^^ Terrasect Story / Action ^^^ *** ( OOC Note: This is ONLY to help keep the story moving, as the advancement will allow everyone to post; so much to do…) * Time Advancement* 15 minutes With the Terrasect now in orbit of the Starbase, known as Kasserine, the Away Team would be able to Transport over and attempt to retrieve the auxiliary core. It now appeared to be a race against the clock, to see if they could get the core bore the alien ship returned. Lt. Cmdr. Grant was still in Sickbay and had not yet been able to report to the Bridge, as they were having issues in Sickbay. The unknown ship had been taken aboard and secured in the Hanger Deck. * Sensors* - Terrasect Sensors are showing no contacts outside of the derelicts that are out there now and still no life signs. * Scenery Information* - The boarded Akira, USS Tersokis, was of standard design for a ship her class; however she had sustained heavy battle damage. There was every sign of a battle imaginable, from weapons fire to blood stains, but not one body. Whether they had been taken by surprise or just bested was immaterial; they’d fought for every inch of the ship. The air was breathable, but a little sweet to the taste due to the chemical mixture in the air. There was also a hint of overheated rubber that wasn’t lethal, but sure was pleasant. ( OOC Note: Please feel free to openly SIM aboard the ship for the Away Mission; I’ll post such ‘actions’ when necessary.)

When Grant answered, he explained everything to him to the unknown vessel that came and went to where Kate had suggested taking over an away team to the Akira. He hadn't use Kate's name but he was sure he knew it was Kate
As he finished, he heard Grant and his change of plans, somewhat noting the confidant tone in his voice "The weight of command isn't in the sound decisions you make, but the unsound risks you must take", he heard him say and he nodded somewhat, thinking risk taking can be good, but not when it leads to you or someone getting killed. Caution should also be used when taking such risks
He then heard his instructions, telling him that he has command of an away team, to take Kate with him to "get him some power" His tail twitched toward curling somewhat into a small spiral but it didn't. He also said to take an Engineering team, which was fairly obvious when dealing with a warp core, then he mentioned the security team "If we're caught flat footed while your off ship, you'll need to be able to defend yourself.” he said
This time his tail did spiral into a helix and he looked amused and he couldn't stop a chuckle-hiss from escaping. ~I am hardly ever caught flat-footed and I am quite able to defend myself~ floated through his mind. He knew he could fight with the best of them. There were only two people that he knew of that had gotten the best of him. One was in engineering and the other one was in sickbay, the one in sickbay wasn't intentional, but he had gotten in the middle and he had paid the price
Grant broke into his momentary musings as he continued, saying that while he was away, Lt Hound was in command. His mouth dropped open a little as that thought scared and worried him a little but then his humorous side kicked back in and his tail spiraled into a tighter helix
As Grant told him to bring the Terrasect to Red alert and into transporter range of the Akira, He turned and motioned to the relief tactical officer, which tapped a key, bringing the ship to red alert status. He turned and motioned to Buford, knowing he heard Grant on his communicator, to move the ship into transporter range
Grant continued with "This is your mission Commander, however, it’s Kate’s plan; try not to waste anytime over there. If we need to, we can automatically set the Akira’s auto destruct sequence; we're not going to try and save them.” Again, he knew this. He was in command of the away mission and he would follow Kate's advice when, or if, she gave it. He only hoped that Kate would follow what he said as well
His ears suddenly perked up a little more, if that were possible and his tail fur spiked a little as he heard something start in the background and Grant's urgent hold command. He only assumed Grant went over to assist with what was going on by the sounds of whatever it was getting louder
Grant came back with “Grab Foot, proceed with my orders and do it quickly… Get it done. Also advise Lt. Hound that I may be delayed, but have him keep me informed with any and all updates until I arrive to resume control of the Bridge"
He acknowledged Grant and nodded to Buford, knowing he heard Grant. He heard Grant's urgency and him fighting with a patient to keep her still while the doctor did what she had to do. Judging from the sounds, the patient was female. He wasn't sure if there was another patient other then Ann in sickbay or not but then he thought it was not his worry.
He made arrangement to have the unknown vessel towed aboard and as he headed for the TL, he tapped his comm badge, calling for a security team to meet him in transporter room 2. He also called down to Engineering, and asked Kate to meet him in Transporter Room 2 as well, and bring a couple of engineers with her, not sure if she would need them. He also advised to bring Environmental suits, cause he was unsure of the quality of the air over there. Inwardly, he hated the environmental suits. They felt so cramped, but then he liked the idea of suffocating even less
== Time Advancement/Away Team action ==
20 minutes later, He Kate and the rest of the away team beamed aboard the derelict ship, into engineering, he instructed the transporter chief, the signs of battle quite evident. Consoles burnt and blown out, debris all over the place, bodies too. After learning the air was breathable, he took off the helmet to his suit and was immediately hit by different smells that assaulted his sense of smell: Blood, different chemicals, an something else he couldn't identify. All he knew is: it stunk
He turned to Kate and told her "While you get the core, I'm going to try and get one of these consoles to work and see if I can find some sensor logs, maybe see what happened"

quickly the conversation between Grab Foot and Grant, as he keep the ship in a low orbit.
Buford could hear the confidantes in Grants voice when he said "The weight of command isn't in the sound decisions you make, but the unsound risks you must take" he nodded as he then heard the instructions to Gab Foot
He then sense the waves of emotions coming from Grab Foot, Buford's tail wagged when heard Grant say "If we're caught flat footed while your off ship, you'll need to be able to defend yourself.” He thought Grab Foot caught flat footed right theirs as much chance of that happing as me being but in Command
He hears a chuckle-hiss escape from Grab Foot and his Tail wags faster in amusement .
He heard Grant Say that while Grab Foot was away, Lt Hound was in command. His ears raised in surprise as he turned and looked at Grab Foot, and saw Grab Foots mouth open a little Buford sensed him being scared and worried a little but then it quickly became a humorous sent
As Grant told said to bring the Terrasect to Red alert and into transporter range of the Akira, A relief Tactical Officer brought the ship to Red Alert. He sees Grab Foot motioned to him, Buford skillfully movers the ship into Transporter Range of the Closes Akira ship
His ears raised again and his tail stopped waging as he heard something in the background then Grant's urgent hold command, it seemed like an eternity before Grant came back with “Grab Foot, proceed with my orders and do it quickly… Get it done. Also advise Lt. Hound that I may be delayed, but have him keep me informed with any and all updates until I arrive to resume control of the Bridge"
He could hear Grant's urgency and him fighting with a patient to keep her still, form the sounds it was a female. Buford thought about Ann then pushed it aside he has a job to do, he saw Grab Foot Nod then Grab foot made arrangement to have the unknown vessel towed aboard
Grab Foot then left the Bridge, Buford turned Helm over to an ensign has he took the Command seat
"Ops keep a lock on the way team at the first sign of trouble get them back" he says "Tactical stay on your toes"
== Time Advancement/Bridge ==
20 minutes later Buford taps his Com "Buford to Cmdr Grant ship is in place Away team has beamed over, The unknown ship had been tractored aboard and secured in the Hanger Deck Sir" he says "We have a lock on the way team and weapons and Shields are on stand by" he reports

Sickbay
After running the scan she cursed. "Er surgery, get surgical bay one readied and get Doctor Jacobs in to assist. I need blood replicated I have the sample here. Get a team to move a nest/incubator stat. Lets go people move it."
She took a small vial from one of the drawers and handed it to the tech, "Replicate this blood, amt standard for a human, for now." She stood as the anti grav stretcher came in taking Ann to the assigned surgical room. Leaving quickly to prep for surgery. Doc Jacobs was already prepping for surgery. "What have we got Colina?" "I swear I never seen this before, that woman climbed up a wall I tell ya, and then for the love of God she cut into her side removing a device, to provide energy to a thing she built. For lack of a better word, a nest/incubator thing." " Now both she and the child is hemorrhaging. There are two, one seems to be an egg or possibility a tumor." "What, are you serious Colina this sounds well." "Ya think I dun know how it sounds Stanley. By all thats holy I tell ya its true and I canna." she let the sentence stand there while she rushed into surgery with Dr Jacobs behind her. The first of the blood that was replicated was brought in. Then hooked up to Ann, Dr Jacobs adjusted the flow while she went to the upper uterus where the child was hemorrhaging. She carefully cut into the uterus making sure the child was not near the scalpel. Then into the sack, the amniotic fluid spilled out and instead of it being clear it was light red, as she reached in taking the child out. She cleaned its eyes, then the airway, with amazing speed and gentleness. And started the child on a blood transfusion. She snapped her fingers on the babies foot, then a second time. He finally cried a weak cry. It was the cord that caused the hemorrhage, it was torn. For that she thanked all the powers that be. Now the child was out of danger once the cord was cut and tied. She handed the child to a waiting nurse who took all the necessary vital readings, and made the appropriate notations for the boys file. In addition using the tricorder it was estimated the child would only need 1 transfusion. In the meantime, Dr Jacobs searched for the bleeders from the incision she made into her side. As he found the two bleeders he closed them by using the vascular regenerator. Dr Jacobs looked up the nurse, "Place the child in that thing that the mother constructed. He looks small so he may be premature and require that."
They both examined the other uterus to see if it could hold the egg until it was time to pass into the egg tube and leave her body. The egg itself was fertilized and the embryo was viable. But since it wasn't passed yet it would need certain conditions to survive. She took it out and placed it also in the nest/incubator.
The patients were then taken to recovery. Colina went in to check on them after she cleaned up. Then sat in a chair watching over Mom, and the children.

Samuel assisted Colina and the staff getting Ann onto the grav stretcher, and watched as she was swept off to surgery, he stayed in the now empty room. He realized that the had blood on him and walked over to a washing station and cleaned himself up. After doing so, and while he waited, he decided he try and keep busy. He walked back over and reactivated a wall console so he could stay up to date on what was going on, Sam also thanked Lt. Hound for the updates when he informed him. With the ship docked in the Terrasect’s hanger bay, Sam had the bay locked down and dispatched Security Personnel to make sure it stayed that way.
He watched the sensor logs of the ship that had warped in and then out again with a raised eyebrow, the ship didn’t even ‘look’ like anything he’d seen before. But he continued to watch the logs, over and over again, trying to discern anything that may be of use; but to no avail. The only thing he gathered was that the ship was built for a fight. He also instructed engineering to keep shunting power towards shields, he wanted the toughest shell they could create.
He felt that now would be a good time if there were two Sam’s, as he so much wanted to be on the Bridge but also felt the need to be here with Ann; at least until someone could tell him what the hell was going on… Preferably from Ann…
Seeing Colina exit, he walked towards her and asked if everything was alright, a look of slight concern across his face.

*** ^^^ Terrasect Story / Action ^^^ *** * Akria Console Activated by Lt. Cmdr. Grabfoot* The computer console activated, but was flickering badly as a result from the damage the ship suffered. However, the last sensor records were accessible. The played the following scattered images. The first record shown were of the Knoxville approaching the alien ship as it had dropped out of warp and was communicating challenging hails. There was some communication back and forth between the alien ship and the Knoxville, however those records were not accessible. It then showed, briefly, the Alien ship opening fire on the Knoxville. There were weapons exchanges between the two ships, then the log cut out. The second record showed the Alien ship being engaged by both Starships and the Starbase, and still holding its own. The Tersokis listed heavily as it lost power, the Knoxville lost a large portion of its saucer section during the exchange. The Alien ship seemed to fire a combination of solid ammunition and energy weapons. The Starbase’s power began to fail under the bombardment, but the Alien ship had taken heavy damage also. Several sections of the hull were breached and they were leaking what appeared to be a coolant of some kind from her aft, then the log cut out. The third section of record, and the last available, were internal shots of security systems just before they went off line. It showed Starfleet Personnel fighting, what appeared to be a retreating action, through the corridors of the starship. There were lots of phaser fire, and much more screaming. The crew appeared heavily injured, those that the scanners saw before failing themselves. It showed the Captain of Tersokis, Captain Benwire, shouting at several of his crew with him “ HOLD YOUR GROUND! THEY’RE NOT INVULNERABLE! THERE’S NOWHERE TO RUN!” You could see him and a security detail running back down the corridor firing phasers, more shouting and screaming. There was a brief glimpse, on the scanner before it failed, of an eye that seemed to fill the whole view screen. It was a bright purple, with a slit vertical in it, much like a snake’s eye. Gray scales seemed to surround the eye. Just before the screen failed, it showed another picture of a female crewmen being drug along the deck by her ankle. She was clawing at the deck screaming for help. Wrapped around her ankle was a long, scaled hand, with what appeared to be ‘claws’ of almost a meters length.

*** ^^^ Terrasect Story / Action ^^^ *** Location: ??It was confused and it was alone. Its pack had left him and he didn’t know why. Had he done something wrong? Had he become lost? Thought dead? He didn’t know, but was angry none the less. He had to hunch while he walked, the 3 meter high corridors just unable to allow him to stand full height. He wandered the corridors, aimlessly, not sure what to do as he had always been with his pack; no he was ‘one’. It was a frightening and confusing experience. There had been times, in his races past, where the young were given tasks and or tests, to prove their worth. There were even many cases where the ‘young’ had been abandoned, to save the adults, and let the young continue to fight. Seeming that a mated female could mother dozens of children at once, but it took years of learning to be a valuable adult; children were expendable. Or he was a trap, a lesson maybe, should anyone return or attempt to salvage the prey that had just dealt with. Whatever the reason, he felt better after the killing earlier. These ‘things’ were no match for him and his kin, they’d fallen quickly, hundreds of them had died. But the cost hadn’t been free, many of his kin had fallen too. They were formidable by their tactics, but hand to hand was all but pitiful. Those who hadn’t died, had been taken aboard his pack’s ship for other uses, they didn’t know much of this species but they were going to find out. His forked tongue licked his beaked limps, he could still taste the remnants of blood on them and grinned. His fanged teeth, all 100+ of them, were as sharp as a surgical scalpel and as bright as a virgin sun of silver. His bluish scales covered his entire body, which was covered by a combination of leather and plated armor. He carried a simple spear, that was double headed, and an energy weapon that was holstered on his left leg. His golden eyes blinked, as his tongue continued to slither in and out of his mouth. For as large as he was, easily 200 kilos, he moved with only the slightest of noise when he choose to. As he rounded the next corridor, a noise caught his attention and he spun on his heals in a 180 degree turn; his legs were even jointed backwards. The noise had been there and gone in the quickest of instance, but it had been there. He immediately noticed new scents in the air, like those of the beings they’d just attacked. He stalked forward, in the shadows, completely out of vision ability; his scales adjusted to blend in, much like a chameleon. His knuckle claws extended, over a meter in length, and his mouth salivated… " A trap, mosssst definitely a trap...", he thought to himself. From the shadows, the young Quetzalcoatl watched the Away Team… Location: Tersokis

Sickbay
After several hours passed she sat up and rubbed her neck. She checked on the reading of both Ann and the baby. First the baby. He was such a sweet wee bairn (small child). The one transfusion was enough to have him stabilized. She placed her hand gently on his cheek, smiling down at him, she whispered, "You gave us a scare, but your safe now. Rest well wee one, and the angels will watch over you."
She went to Ann's side and read the readings from the bio bed. The second transfusion finished and she removed the hook up. A few strands of hair had fallen onto Ann's eyes and she gently brushed them away. She finally felt satisfied that they were out of danger. Leaving the room quietly she looked over her shoulder one last time and smiled at the baby.
Her first stop was to see Grant. But he was already walking towards her. She smiled.
"Both the mother and your little boy are doing well. They both have stabilized, and Ann should wake in an hour or so. I'll be needing to run a few test on the child."
"Oh," she said teasingly. "The boy said he wanted to see his father now and needs to know his name." She smiled as Grants smile replaced his worried look.

Kate acknowledged him when he said he would try to get a console working to see if he can get any logs and find out what had happened then turned and started shouting orders to the engineering team that she brought with her, especially a blue skinned ensign who liked to talk a lot. He began to wonder if all the blue skins of his race had that same annoying habit. The security people he brought along fanned out to secure the area and make sure no one was still alive
He wondered that all for about 2 seconds before he started getting to work in getting the console to work. After a few minutes, he was successful. He found three logs that were somewhat salvageable and could view them without too much trouble. He had brought a tricorder to record anything of value and he used it now
The first two logs were pretty normal. The ship contacting an alien vessel, asking the aliens to Identify themselves, when they didn't, it was thought of as an act of hostility and the two ships battled, with the Star base joining in on the 2nd log. Together, they had done some damage to the alien ship but the Knoxville had sustained heavy damage and lost their saucer section
The Third log contained a security log containing the aliens that had boarded and attacked the Knoxville crew and the battle going badly for the crew, the captain running through the halls, with a security detail, trying to rally his offenses
Suddenly there was a bright purple eye that filled the screen with a vertical slit down the middle for a few moments before it showed a female crew member being dragged down the hall kicking and screaming for help, with a large scaly hand wrapped around her ankle. His ears slicked back then pitched forward when the eye appeared "What the.."? He muttered before the scene shifted to the female being dragged down the hall, trying to break free, to no avail
As the log shut itself off, he began to think about what he had witnessed. Who were the scaly ones and why did they attack? Gorn perhaps?
A new scent drifted into his nose and got his attention, he lifted his head from the console and his tricorder and looked around for anyone that was not a member of the away team, his ears perking up trying to pick up any unfamiliar noises
Kate then got his attention with her "Hey, Pusssy Cat". He fired a look over towards her that would dent the shields of the terrasect. He knew she wouldn't care but it still earned her a glare. He heard her report that the warp core is intact and began to start detaching it from the Akira's systems
"That's good", he would tell her "Hurry up and get the core ready for transport back to the Terrasect so we can get it attached and get out of here. As for informing you what happened, I'll let you know only if you want to know. I will, however, brief Grant on the situation when we return"
He didn't think Kate would be interested in what had happened so he didn't tell her unless she confirmed that she did want to know

Sam looked at Colina, with a confused expression “’my little boy’?” he echoed “How is that possible?” Seeing a humorous expression cross the Doctor’s face, he waved a dismissive hand “No, no; I know how ‘IT’ happens Doc.” He grinned slightly, “But we never… I mean Ann and I didn’t…” He was so confused. The whole thing made his head hurt… It was his hope that Ann, once she woke up and was coherent, would be able to explain to him just what had happened…
He leaned back and landed in a chair, this was all way ‘out there’ and he was very confused. As Colina told him that the ‘boy’ had asked to see his ‘father’, Sam looked back at the Doctor “What do you mean he ‘asked’, it’s all of a few hours old, it coul…” he caught himself again… “It’s a ‘Drak thing’, right…” he said, in a very surrendering voice.
He stood up, to walk into the room, but his legs froze and he couldn’t move. He found that the thought of entering the room where Ann and ‘his child’ were frightened him; the whole situation frightened him. He had no idea how he could possibly have fathered a child, but leave it up to the sheer ‘alieness’ of the Drak, and he supposed anything was possible. But now wasn’t the time, with Ann recovering and the ‘child’ maturing at such a exponential rate, combined with a classified research post attacked with all its personnel MIA, over a 1,000 souls… He had an Away Team on a ship and was a sitting duck, hoping the alien ship wouldn’t come back while they had their ‘pants around their ankles’; it was time to prioritize.
He tugged his tunic taunt and looked back at the Doctor. “No. You’ll have to excuse me Doctor. Please inform me when Ann regains consciousness and let her know that I was needed on the Bridge. When she is able, I’ll come down and see her, but until then I must go where I’m the most useful. With the Terrasect being as ‘vulnerable’ as she is, I need to be up there.” He turned and began to walk out of Sickbay, just before exiting her looked back at Colina “I know she’s in good hands, just let me know when she’s able to have visitors and I’ll swing back down.” He couldn’t even force a smile, he just nodded and walked out; he still seemed disheveled.
He knew he was needed on the Bridge, and in Sickbay, and currently in about two dozen other places. But he was treading in unknown, and very uncomfortable, waters with Ann’s situation, combined with assuming the duties as 'commanding officer' of the Ship, and had no wish to make things more complicated; if it was even possible. He entered the Turbo Lift and headed to the Main Bridge. He was trying to get his mind to focus on what was going on, but the thoughts of Ann kept interfering with his concentration.
As the doors opened, he exited and walked across the Bridge. He found Lt. Hound dutifully working the center chair consoles, trying to keep everything on track. He was impressed that the junior officer had done as well as he had. He didn’t have anything bad to say about him, but he was just that, a junior officer, but an officer none the less and when needed he would take command of the Bridge. “Update, if you would, Lt.” Sam said. He was standing tall and stiffly upright, almost at attention, and he was desperately trying to get his thoughts back focused. It was nothing related to the Lt., or the Bridge crew, just the way Sam ‘defaulted’ too. He heard the update from Lt. Hound, thanked him, and took his seat at the center chair.
“Lt. Hound,” he began as soon as he sat down “I’ve another task for you if you would. I’ve an unknown ship in our hanger bay, the area is sealed by Security. I wonder if you’d go down and take a look, tell me what you can of her?”
After his conversation with Lt. Hound, he activated communications “Grant to Cmdr. Grabfoot, how’s it going over there?” he asked as he multitasked on the center chair consoles, monitoring the repair status. He also watched the view screen, intently, as he was updated.

Location Bridge
Hearing the bridge doors open he picked up Grants sent, and turned toward him.
He stands and salutes as Grant stands by the Center Chair “Update, if you would, Lt.” Grant asks
"We have a lock on the Away team, and our monitoring them shields and weapons are powered and on stand by, I was about to com the Cmdr Grab Foot Sir" he reports
He moves and Grant takes the seat,Buford could sense Grant was impressed with him, but their were other sense coming from him as well, Buford wonder about Ann but didn't Ask
“I’ve another task for you if you would. I’ve an unknown ship in our hanger bay, the area is sealed by Security. I wonder if you’d go down and take a look, tell me what you can of her?” Grant said as soon as he sat down
"Yes Sir!" Buford replies as he turns and heads for the Hanger Bay
Entering the Hanger Bay he walks up to the unknown ship
Has walks around the Ship he scans it as he looks at it, it was slightly larger then a runabout,he could see it was heavily armed with quantum torpedoes and pulse phasers. Reinforced shielding, ablative armor all showed on the scan,It Contained both standard engines and slipstream drives and would hold a crew of 2 max of 4,Buford study it Could be classified as a ‘fighter-bomber’ he says
The ship was heavily damaged, but still intact, he could see the was pilot dead through the main Viewport it was a male, killed by the exploding consoles, he had heavy head and upper chest trauma
Buford could get no readings inside the ship do to the hull, he found the hatch and a few seconds later "Stand Ready" he tells the Security team as he opens the hatch
once the hatch is open he smells smoked tobacco, rank sweet and the smell of the dead body, Buford slowly enters and starts to check the ship for more body's, the smells are so heavy they over whelmed his nose

He heard Kate's response, along with her muttered "pissed off the pusssy" comment. He merely shook his head and then felt her mental surge. He brushed it off, staggering slightly, knowing she was capable of much more, so he didn't push the issue. As his father was born Betazoid, then later changed his whole physical appearance. When he was old enough to understand, his father had taught him some basic mental defense abilities but as he was Eeiauoan, he wasn't able to do much
He looked at Kate for a few moments, then dropped his command tone and for a brief time, he was just Grab Foot Of~Two Dawns, an Eeiauoan. "Kate, I have a lot of respect for you, despite what we have been through and the battles we've engaged in. I give respect to those who give respect to me. I would like to consider you a friend and.." He stopped right there as he was about to say more then just a friend, that perhaps he would also consider her as a mate but he figured friend was good enough. As he tilted an ear backwards toward the hall coming into Engineering, where he had thought he heard sounds that told him that the away team had a visitor, he walked over to Kate, in a non-aggressive manner, and grabbed her by the shoulders. Before she could read his intent, he done a typical Eeiauoan thing and leaned in close to lick the side of her neck, just below the ear. It was a feline sign of respect and friendship
He also had another motive to getting close to her. Immediately after licking her, he spoke to her, whispering "I don't think we're alone. Be ready" Then stepped back, hoping that Kate wouldn't be grossed out by his gesture of friendship, and hoping that she didn't slap him silly. Course, he knew that she may already sense that we're not alone but he wanted to warn her, in case she didn't
The annoying Bolian and his nervous chatter brought his command frame of mind back, and it also brought his annoyance. he heard Kate tell him to be quiet a second time and he was about to say something when he heard Grant's voice over his comm badge "Everything is going well, so far, sir". He then went on to brief him on the logs that he had found, also mentioning that he had brought a tri-corder to record what he could. He then waited for Grant's response
OOC: The licking sign of friendship thing is a Sivaoan custom for sure. I am not sure if Eeiauoans still practice this still. I am assuming they do

After he briefed Grant on what he had found, he watched Kate as she jumped up enough see him eye level and proceed to head butt him in the head. This action surprised him enough to throw him off balance. The initial contact didn't phase him but the action itself did. As he sat down on his hind legs to blink at Kate, thus bringing him down to her eye level, she grabbed him by the shoulders and licked his nose.
More blinking in surprise at her, especially when she started walking up the wall to check to make sure the core was ready for transport. As he sat there, he thought about what she done. Mainly, accepted his overture of friendship, returning his gesture the same way he gave it, with a lick, but then she licked his nose instead of the side of his neck. Licking his nose, could be considered a kiss, in human terms, and not just a ordinary kiss. It was more like a promising kiss of times to come
He shook his head, dismissing his wayward thoughts/imagination with a slight hiss/growl. Very unprofessional of him to think of such matters in the middle of a mission. As Kate joked with the Bolian, he waited for Grant's response

Colina woke from her nap and then wanting to see the wee lad, she walked to the room where Ann and the boy were. She entered and looked into the nest/incubator.
"Oh dear god in heaven." She tapped on her badge.
"Chief of security, this is Doctor MacAuley, in sick bay. A baby is missing. He's only a day old. Find that child and whoever took him stat." She was so upset she used a medical term to let them know to move as fast as possible.
She tapped on her com badge. "Cmdr Grant, this is Doctor Mac Auley. I have no way to say this, your wee boy hes gone missing. I have security out looking for him and whoever took him."
The head nurse Fong entered and she yelled at her. "Find that babe. Now, have all the medical personal looking for that child." With out realizing it the comm link was still open to Grant, and he heard her barking out orders and the frantic sound in her voice.

The Security XO is in the office of the Security chief when the doctor's call came in to search for a wee babe only a day old. He arches a brow for a moment and then scrambles into action. Tapping his badge, he'd answer the lady doctor "Security Chief is currently away at the moment but I can help ya, Doc. I'll get a team out right away to search for the lad and his taker"
True to his word, he scrambled a couple of security teams to scour the ship and had all TL's locked down. he then got another security team to comb through the Jefferies tubes
About 20 minutes later, Team Beta reported the finding of a toddler in a jefferies tube, alone and seemed to be just hiding. He is gonna take the toddler back to sickbay.
He told the officer that found the wee lad that he done a good job and then contacted the doctor again, after bringing the TL's back up "Good news, Doctor. The Toddler's been found and is on his way back to your location"
Five minutes later, the officer that found him and the toddler walk into sickbay, the young officer grinned at the doc "you might want to keep a closer watch on this one. He's quick"
