He felt her curiousity and surprise too as she nearly choked on her drink

Sam's eyes light up, unknown to her as she thinks Kestra Suder that's the CNS, She takes a drink " I would not mind meeting him" She says, as shes really curious now

"I am sure he would not mind meeting a lovely woman such as yourself either. It would be different then the romulans he is around" chuckles in humor

Sam thinks NY "that's the Romulan ran ship, I have only meet a few Romulans , their aways so stuffy" she laughs
She takes a bite of her food "meeting won't be easy being on different ships" she says, her voice doesn't show it but strangely she feels disappointed they might not meet

She heads for the airlock to go on to McKinley station to meet up with some old friends Dexx walks with her on her way out. " Are you sure you don't want to come Dexx?"

She kisses him on the cheek and hugs him. " Thanks Dexx what would I do with out you." She smiles at him and walks down the gangway to the station. She stops half way and waves back to him and then she is gone.

He watches her walk down the gangway and waves to her when she turns back once she is gone he sighs and goes back to patrolling the decks.

He nods, confirming what Sam has stated: The New York is a Romulan ship then chuckled a little, after he had taken a sip of his coffee, over her "stuffy" comment
"The New York does have a Romulan Captain but there are some non romulans aboard. The Romulans are private people and like to keep to themselves. That's most likely why the seem "stuffy" to the rest of us"
His eyes twinkled in amusement then went on "You and him are posted on separate ships but one can always write or send a subspace message to let the other know that she is interested. What happens after that, that is up to the four deities and you two"

After finishing up with Doctor he enters the Lounge walks up to the Replicator RC Cola and 6 Moon Pies he orders, then takes his food to a table
Placing his order down he walks over to were Samantha and Moon are setting Executive Officer Lt Col Ralph Hall he says as he introduces him self

Sam finishes her meal,the pulls the rice pudding over "Yes I can send him a video message, see how things go from their" she says as she takes a bite "Who knows maybe later we'll meet in person" she adds
"I guess that's true, I have only meet a few Romulans" she says
Sam looks at the new XO straitens her uniform "CSci Officer 1Lt. Samantha Doogan Sir!"

He nods hearing what Sam had to say
"People do meet eventually, sometimes it may take some time depending on the circumstances they're in or the ships they are posted to"
He took another sip of his coffee then glanced over Sam's shoulder at the man who just entered. His initial empathic sense of the man is extreme confidance, perhaps overly confident at times. He watched as he ordered something from the replicator and came over introducing himself as Lt Colonel Ralph Hall, Tarawa's new First Officer. Inwardly, he smirked a bit on the name Ralph but he immediately stood and took a formal stance, like being AA
"Welcome to the Tarawa, sir. I'm Lt Jg Melvin Moon, ship's Tactical Officer"

He looks at both As you were, leaves not over no need to be formal call me Ralph he says So how long have you two been assigned to the Tarawa? he asks them.
