That does not look like ship related activity. She said as she watched Lang turn around slowly. I need to know what you are doing for my report.

Actually Tahlandi, you can. He said as he activated his screen saver over the feed. This matter is being commanded by Commander Rekalan. I don't supposed you want to have her give you that 'viper stare' again? I saw your knees knocking before.

OOC Note: It's not fair to you guys to have an Ops officer who doesn't have a clue how to participate and doesn't have time to post. I won't be mad if you replace me with someone who can post more faithfully and participate better. I'd be willing to take a role as a medic or something that requires less posting time and less understanding of the nuts and bolts. I'm unable to promise that I will put more effort into understanding and posting because I'm going back to school/work and will be working full time getting my degree, which means I'll have less time to make posts, not more. I'm sorry I didn't say anything sooner.
Thank you for understanding, Kyah's mun

( its alright kyah I have an opening for a field medic you can easily take i'll let you know wehn to follow the action a little more closely sorry i've been out of contact as of late jsut im me and ask i'll be happy to give you an update ))
IC: meanwhile back in the hanger there is enough chaos generated and enough insaniey the cardasian scientiststhemselves come out of the doors under armed escorts heading for higher ground the repair drone now simply wandering the hallways and cooridors with its welding laser going wild blasting at random objects the alert bells going off everywhere fire drones responding in attempts to drown the poor repair drone as if it were disfunctional in the chaos several guards hit security doors sealing the blast doors tight whatevers in is now going to have a challange getting out
we now return you to your regularly scheduled sim

Post by LtCmdr Deka Rekalan on Sept 11, 2009 10:45:59 GMT -5
Deka made her way to Engineering, continually scanning. There were no others on board which was in keeping with what Deka understood so far about the nature of the ship and it's mission. Somewhere in here she hoped to find concrete evidence that the scientists were in fact controlling the effects of the nebula. Such a device would place considerable constraints on the power of this vessel. As small as it was, she guessed that when it was activated, they were not likely be able to run more than the most critical systems along with it. In short, find something that was big and tied into the warp core.
She approached the engineering section with caution but no alarms went off when she opened the door. The space inside was crammed with equipment. Only the walkway was fully accessible. She picked her way around, recording everything. She maintained the link to the ship. If she was discovered and her tricorder taken, at least the information wouldn't be lost. Deka could detect where the largest power draw came from and moved in that direction. The device she saw was impressive. A crystal orb. It was shielded by a containment field, though it's purpose was undoubtedly to keep those like her out, rather than protect the orb itself. With the immense energy output, and this was in an inactive state, nothing could have kept it in check.
Deka had been aboard for around ten minutes and she guessed her time was nearly up. She had tried once to access to files from the auxilliary console but it was passcode protected. No surprise there. She tapped her comm badge. "Rekalan to Lang. Can you transport me from my current location directly to Trevious?"

Robert watched the Talahndi storm off, he could live with that. He brought the screen back up and smiled. He noticed Rekalans message. "Yes, just say the word."

"Do it." Deka took at last look at the various devices that had been installed. It was no wonder the ship was in need of constant repair. If any one of these support systems failed, then the whole would be inoperable. Who had designed this? Certainly not the two she'd seen. This wasn't like any Cardassian technology Deka had ever known of.

He activated the transporter from his console then stepped up heading to the transporter room to meet Commander Rekalan. I'm headed to the transporter room to meet the XO Ma'am. He said to Tahlandi with a smile.

She didn't doubt Lang's ability. He may be cocky but so far he hadn't overestimated his abilities, but she hadn't been sure he could get a lock on her there with all the potential interference the equipment might cause, so she was relieved when she materialized back on Trevious in one piece and with all her accoutrements where they ought to be.

He entered the transporter room and saluted in her Cardassian style. "I take it your trip was uneventful Ma'am?"

"You know quite well it wasn't." Deka looked at him meaningfully. "And as impressive as your skills are, there's nothing you'll be able to do to erase any record of me aboard that ship. I only hope they don't suspect they've been compromised and review the files." She strode out of the transporter room. "Whether they discover the trick or not, I need to get this information to the Gul as soon as possible.' She stopped as they came to the lifts. "You 'may' be called upon for consultation."

Erase you no, mask you yes. He smiled. I can't do much for the security on the ship, but As far as they are concerned on the station they have gotten an infestation of cardassaian voles. I fiddled with the security feeds. By the time they figure things out we will be long gone hopefully.

Deka said nothing but personally she thought the voles were a nice touch. When they arrived at the bridge, not seeing the Gul, Deka opened a comm to Delor's office.
"I have that report you wanted, Sir."

-looking up form his reading his headache soothed some what lost deep inthe research notes. "repport commander and it had better be a hair more through that these research notes and far more to the point than thier business proposal" the only words spoken as he looks up around him.

"I'm afraid I wasn't able to access their files, but I had no difficulty getting into engineering. I got the pictures you asked for and can make some conjecture about the purpose of what I observed. For example Sir, I don't think they realize all the damage their research is doing. The ships caught inside. The fact that the rift opens up in more than one direction, allowing others to enter. Either they consider it acceptable as collateral damage or they are completely oblivious to the effects. Either way, it's extremely dangerous. The device itself..is like nothing I've seen before and the support system required to operate it is much more complex than it ought to be. In my opinion, there are still a long way from figuring our how to use it properly."
