The Sickbay aboard the Terrasect has be recently renovated during the last refit. Sickbay had become more of a wing, inluding a triage center capable of supporting 29 patients, morgue, multiple surgery rooms, 6 Private Exam Rooms, as well as a fairly large Medical Sciences Lab. The main entrance of Sickbay housed eight biobeds for quick treatment.

Her excitment grew with each passing second. There were many who wanted this posting and when she applied she reminded herself, Colina take heart, you'll more then likely see this pass so remember the day is long and opportunity comes more the most think. Remembering her speech to herself she smiled and walked out of the TL. She walked the short distance and then entered.
She stood there, Colina look at this would you. So much better then you could have dreamed of. She stood there for a minute, taking it all in, smiles galore and pride could be seen in her eyes. A nurse walked over to her, "Can I help you."
Still smiling, "Aye, ya can. I would like a medical coat over here at all times. Many a time, I will enter with out mine on. I am Doctor Colina MacAuley, CMO, and who might you be?"
"Doctor, I'm one of the nurse's Fong Tang. And I'll make sure the coat will be there."
"Excellent lassie, now shall we go to my office and you can fill me in." The two of them sat there for two hours, and Colina was impressed with Fong's attention to detail and dilligence.
"Fong will ya be telling the staff there is to be a meeting tonight at 19:oo hours. I expect it to last no longer then 90 minutes. We will be needing this done before the launch."
When Fong left her office, she began to review the inventories, then to the master medical list of the crew, she noted that an interesting race joined. An insectoid, some research would be needed, and quickly. Tis best to check first the ship library to see what was known, so as to discover what she would need to find out.
Then the search to see who would need physical's, and what if any medical care was pending. She made a list of both and then began to make appointments for those needing them. Then on to the next task, and so it went for the remainder of morning and into the early afternoon. Fong came in with a tray bless her heart, but of all things, haggis.
She smiled thanking her, then when Fong left and was out of eyesight she placed the haggis in the reclaimer. Why do most think every Scot to draw breath must like haggis? There was a saying and in her mind so very true, "It was a brave man who first ate haggis" She determined in her youth she would not be that brave.
Finally at 1400 she was able to inspect the whole of sickbay. And what a grand place she was, the designer was brillant that was a certainty. Finally at 15oo she had the needed supplies list sent to the quartermasters and she left for dinner, and to get ready for the first meeting with her staff. As her grandmother would tell her. "You've but one time and that is no more then a fast crowing of the rooster at dawn to make a lasting and good impression on others."
"Fong I will be leaving now and back for the meeting be sure you eat now."
With that said she walked out going directly to her quarters to get ready.

She entered sickbay and smiled at the assembled staff. Fong had arranged a meeting area with chairs for everyone to sit on. She took her medical coat off the hook and put it on.
"Good Evening everyone. Let me begin by saying, my door is always open to anyone needing me, be it professional or personal. The best running of a sickbay is when among the staff we have a sense of community at the base of it and true friendship with respect at the its apex. We all are basically new to each other with the few exceptions of a handful of ya. Remember the wise words, "Wide ears and short tongues are best." Now with that said lets move on shall we?"
For the next hour she spent time discussing the running of sickbay, triage, and what she would demand of them. Then they a time to ask their questions. As excepted the meeting lasted exactly 90 minutes.
Fong had arranged to have coffee, tea, and some sweets. She saw the triffle and knew one was destined to be hers. They all socialized for the next hour before the last left. After she left sickbay she felt the restlessness of a most exciting day. Knowing there would no rest for her she made a quick decision to visit the Galaxy bar and grill. At home it would simply be called the pub.

Sam walked up and spoke with the two Officers that were stationed at Sickbay, making sure that everything was going alright there; which they were. He thanked both of them and preceded into Sickbay, over viewing the layout and slightly taken aback by the sheer size of it all, it looked like a field hospital designed to deal with massive casualties. Although awestruck by the sheer size, it did make Sam feel a little better, knowing that they would be able to deal with a large situation should it occur.
Sam entered and put himself out of the way, reviewing the PADD he was carrying and going over some notes, making sure all the upgrades and changes occurred as they were supposed to have been, and viewing the medical staff go about their business.

She walked out and saw the chief security officer standing there trying to look inconspicuous. But it was that which attracted her attention more then anything else. Walking over she noticed the towel he wrapped around his hand. Smiling she guided him to bio bed one for an examination of his hand.
"Hello, we meet briefly on the bridge." Unwrapping his hand she examined it then ran a tricorder over it. " Now what did you do to yourself?" She cleaned it out and then using a dermal regenerator she ran it over his hand making several passes to ensure its closure.
"Thats gonna be sore for a day or two. I suggest you take it easy with it and not hitting anything for awhile." She smiled. "And you sir have the honor and privilege of being the first patient of mine on this grand vessel." she laughed softly
"While your here, I may as well do the mandatory examination to clear you for duty. Please lay back while I run the scans." As the data stream began she started reading it. After a few minutes she smiled.

Eele pulls her hair back and draws her hood over her head. Now she is ready to leave. Walks out and around the corridor to a T.L. Ones within it she asked the computer to led her to deck 17 to Sick-Bay. After a while she stood there thinking of way to introduce her self. The T.L. lets her out right in front of Sick-Bay. She tugs at her attire and then walks out and in to Sick-Bay. Eelennia looks around for the C.M.O. and couldn’t find him or her. She stood in the middle of Sic-Bay looking her strangely in her hooded clothes. ‘Where may I might find the Chief Medical Officer? I am Consular Covous. Eelennia Covous.’ She looked at a nurse and it seemed that she found Eele to be out of place. More so that she has sense that the nurse was a bit afraid of her. She slowly moved towards the nurse and placed her hand on her shoulder. ‘Don’t be scared I am sensitive to the lightings of this room. Could you please redirect me to a Doctor or the Chief?’ After she had touched the young nurse her fears disappeared. Eelennia has a neat ability to calm people around her by a touch and her reassuring tone.

She looked up and saw they were getting busy. She told her staff that she would personally handle all the physicals for the crews officers. She wanted to get to know them a wee bit better then the service records told her. After that, she would give more notice to the non coms. But in all honestly she was itching to get to the civilians. That however would come in time.
Seeing Buford she signaled him to bio bed 2 and smiled as he walked over. Then she looked at the other, who was not in uniform as one would expect. Well that would need to wait, she was finishing with one patient and the other was just starting. It was good to be busy.
She told him to lay back and began the scans. She read some of the data and then walked over to Grant. As she did this she hummed, "The Green Hills Of Tyrol", which is also known as, "A Scottish Soldier".
Fong came over and told her of the consular, she nodded. "Tell her I am busy for now and she can wait if she chooses to. I should be done soon."

Sam smiled as warming as he could as he followed the Doctor to have his hand checked, back in full uniform and ‘on duty’ helped calm his mind. He allowed the doctor to attend to his hand, with no resistance yet he only placed his hand/wrist on the bio-bed, he even tried striking up a conversation with her to help distract them both. “You look like your fitting in well; do you have everything you need?” Sam laughed as she mentioned not hitting anything for a couple days, jokingly adding “or anyone, right, yes Ma’am.”
When she mentioned the crew physical, Sam stated she could not perform such testing or ‘full body’ readings in open view of the Sickbay, that it would be required to be done in a separate and private room/area; referencing his classified Medical Record. “With respect Doctor, I’m sure you haven’t had the chance to review everyone’s medical file, which is perfectly fine. But I’m afraid that your first patient is going to be a bit stubborn.” He said.

As she attended to his wound she listened to him and could tell he was uncomfortable being here. Looking up at him she smiled. "Aye, I've everything I be needing and the few items that are needed have already been ordered. However, we could be leaving without them. I just like to leave with a full store. One can never be sure of what they will run into once they are out there."
As he laughed she joined in with her own soft laugh. "Aye tis would be wise not to be hitting anyone either. Heads and faces can be just as hard."
As reminded her of the regulation of private rooms for full body scans she nodded. "Ah, thats right. It completely slipped my mind. On my last assignment, the sick bay was not so elaborate. Well, in comparison it was spartan, to say the least. I shall remember that. Please report to examination room 1. I shall be there momentarily."
"And for stubbornness, you've not come across a highlander yet . Now that sir is stubbornness to an extreme once there is reason to dig ones heels in." Smiling she turned off the scans on the bio bed and tidied up the area around bio bed 1.
She then had her Acting head nurse Fong Tang, direct Buford to the examination room 2. As Buford walked to examination room 2 she smiled at him. Yes indeed this would be an interesting assignment, she thought to herself.

Saia was midway through a fascinating file on the various lifeforms, both plant and animal that were kept on board Terrasect, when he suddenly remembered that in her zeal to report in, she'd forgotten about the mandatory medical exam. with a sigh of regret, she closed the program and made her way down to Sickbay. Though, who was to say she wouldn't find something equally curious and interesting there? She smiled, clicking her jaw in anticipation and quickened her step, ignoring in most cases the looks of surprise from those who had not seen her yet.
Entering Sickbay, she stopped first just inside the doors to admire the design. Very beautiful and very efficient. She nodded to herself, adding a click for emphasis. Seeing no area designated for waiting, she continued in looking for the Doctor, expecting and receiving a number of stares from passing medical personnel. Finally spotting MacAuley currently examining another crewmember, she stopped and waited for recognition. A smiling but busy looking nurse approached and introducing herself as Nurse Fong Tang, led her to Exam Room 3. She would have enjoyed it more had she been able to watch the various procedures being performed in the main area, but she supposed a large "bug" might be somewhat of a distraction.

She walked into examination room 2, with her padd in hand. She was humming the song "The Green Hills Of Tyrol", also known as "A Scottish Soldier". She smiled at Buford briefly, "How are you this fine day? Please lay back." as he did she turned on the scans.
