The size of this ship was still startling to Saia. It wasn't that she was completely unaccustomed to larger ships but his one had a different feel to it. Even with the seemingly endless stream of personnel coming on and off the bridge, it was busy but not close. She wondered if she would ever grow used to that. She heard Captain Harsting's voice as from afar and drawing herself fully back to the present, responded.
"Science reports fully operational, Captain."

He had returned to the bridge from the Promenade and while in the TL, he had gotten a better control of his emotions. He had also gotten his fur smoothed back down and his ears back to their normal position. His feet-claws, however, were still clicking on the deck and he wore no expression on his face
He went straight to the Tactical console, without looking at who else was on the bridge and he began to check the status of the weapons and shield systems, targeting systems and weapons inventory. he even seen the weapons upgrades but he made no comment or indicated whether he approved or disapproved.
He wasn't sure how much time had passed but the next thing he knew, he heard the TL doors open. Without looking, he already knew who it was. He could tell by the scent that wafted over to his nostrils
Hearing footsteps approach and stop near him, he then heard his voice “Lt Grabfoot, I’d like to talk to you for a moment” “I’d like it to be at a request instead of an order, but we need to talk.”
A spike of anger occured, but no outward indication showed on his body ~ The nerve of this.. human ~ he thought to himself. He turned and watched Grant walking toward the Observation Lounge. He thought about saying *I have nothing to say to you* but he kept his mouth shut. He also thought about turning and leaving the bridge, but he didn't. Instead, he followed Grant into the Observation Lounge to hear what he had to say, coiling his tail lightly around his waist as he done so.. and yes, feet-claws clicking on the deck
“It’s good to see you again” he began “this wasn’t the type of reunion I wanted. I wanted to say that I’m personally sorry for what happened at the Bar, please don’t think it was personal or an abuse of power.” Sam paused a moment “I have no qualms with you and your feelings towards Ann, nor would I purposely attempt to sway those feelings or embarrass you; but as a stout Starfleet Officer you know that the ship and her crew come first. You have to remember what happened the last two times we met, we had to assume that… well, that doesn’t matter.”
He narrowed his eyes a little as he mentioned about his feelings for Ann but that was about the only response Grant got. Then he smelled a little embarrassment coming from Grant and briefly wondered where it came from, but he dismissed it quickly and he really didnt care where it came from. With his voice flat and emotion-free, he would respond
"You are correct, sir about me being StarFleet Office and the safety of the ship and crew come first. My Personal feelings matter not. i understand your action as you are the First Officer and Security Chief for this ship. You were thinking of her crew"
He paused as Grant continued
“Look, I just wanted to say that it was business, not personal or pleasure that drove my actions. You know me, you know how I act, I’d like to count you as a trusted crewmate and maybe even a friend if that was possible.” Sam reached out his hand, seeing if Grabfoot would take the gesture “And besides, if it’d make you feel better, we can go a couple rounds in the Holodeck later. Be one of the lucky few who gets to take a shot at their Lt. Commander…”
Grabfoot looked at the extened hand for a few seconds before extending his hand to insert it Grant's hand and shake. Grant would feel him struggling with his emotions and keeping his claws sheathed. His body was severly tensed with repressed emotion and then he gave Grant a hard look, taking back his hand, as Grant mentioned the Holodeck. With a voice that would drop the temperature a good 25 degrees, he responds
"The Holodeck is not necessary, Mr. Grant, and strictly speaking as a person to person, not an officer to officer, If I were to give in to to my emotions that I am feeling at the moment, I would kill you. As far as the events down in the Bar and Grill, they are forgiven"
He turned and marched out of the Observation Lounge, not caring if Grant was through speaking to him or not, his feet-claws not just clicking, but scraping on the deck plates. He paused at the Tactical console, then he thought the holodeck might be a good idea but without the presense of Grant. He then continued toward the TL and entered "Holo-deck!"
The TL doors closed and off he went

Sam listened as Grabfoot spoke “Lt. you may always speak freely with me, but please be careful while in front of others as I’m still your commanding officer.” Sam continued to listen, felt the coldness of the handshake which he knew all to well, and watched as he departed. Sam shook his head “That went well…” he said to know one in particular. He figured that in time, Grabfoot would relax and calm down, but his ‘dander’ was up and he could respect that; that being the reason Sam's career has gone the way it has. He shook the thought from his mind and rubbed his forehead, he was starting to get a headache; and he knew why.
It had been 33 hrs since he slept, even a wink, and it was starting to catch up with him. He just couldn’t get the images out of his mind, so he had just decided he’d keep working, which helped distract his thoughts and refocus his mind. But with Ann showing up, it thre a huge ‘monkey wrench’ into all of his plans… He sighed deeply.
While still distracted, Lt. Hound burst into the Observation lounge and start ‘barking’ like an untrained junkyard dog (pun intended). Where he had a previous relationship with Grabfoot, Lt. Hound was an Officer he’d never met, and had not respect for other then what he’d seen previously and what is file stated. Missing the salute due to his distraction entirely, to say Sam was agitated was such understatement that the Daystrim Institute back on Earth would be wanting to research it…
Sam, who had leaned up against the table when the headache came on, slammed his balled fist on the table in anger in response to the first phrase that came out of Lt. Hounds mouth. Sam didn’t mind officers speaking openly, he always preferred it, friends and acquaintances were even allowed additional leeway, but this was a Lt. that he’d seen all of 40 seconds of and the run-in at the bar didn’t help his attitude either; Grabfoot was excusable, this was not.
Sam spun on Lt. Hound like a drill instructor at Starfleet Marine Academy, anger rising quickly but not yet exploding. “Who do you think you are Lt?” he said, emphasizing the rank. “You walk in here like some Admiral and ‘bark orders’ to me like I’m some new recruit on his first tour? My rank is Lt. Commander and Chief of Security aboard the Terrasect, Lieutenant Junior Grade” he emphasized again. “Don’t you dare begin to accuse me of ‘abusing my rank’ Mr., you have no idea what might have happened and you have no right coming in here and speaking to me in such a way.” Sam was furious, which almost surprised him, but it didn’t matter at the moment. “If this would have gone either of the ways it had before when we ran into ‘Ann’s’ kind, you probably wouldn’t be here complaining about your ‘rough treatment’ at the bar, what we could find of you would be in a body bag in Sickbay! That is if there was anyone left…” Sam took another step towards the Lt., Sam could have Lt. Hound up on charges for the comment alone even after receiving this dressing down, but Sam wasn’t done yet. “If you and Grabfoot weren’t acting like two animals in heat bickering over a female you wouldn’t have been removed from the bar…” Sam locked eyes with Lt. Hound.
When he mentioned Ann, Sam felt as if he had been splashed with a bucket of ice chilled water, he took a couple steps backwards and let out a sigh. “Scared, afraid and confused; 3 things that are never good together…” he trailed off as he turned to look at the stars, there was an uneasy silence for a minute, although it seemed longer.
Sam turned back, composure regained. “Lt. Hound, I’ll consider this a personal issue between you and I and will not bother with any official record of the exchange; it’s a dead issue. You are dismissed Lt.” said Sam, the color returning to normal in his face from the red it was.
As Lt. Hound turned to leave, just prior to getting to the door, Sam called out to him “Mr. Hound, it took guts to come in here like that, I’ll remember it.” He said as the Lt. walked out.
Sam walked out the back way through the observation lounge and headed towards the Promenade.

Ganesa stepped out of the turbo lift and onto the bridge. She could sense anger came from LtJg Grab Foot~Of~Two Dawns as she passed him up as he passed her up to head towards the turbo lift. She gentle placed her hand on (npc) Ensign Beaker's shoulder, which made him jump a bit.
"Sorry to have fightened you.", she replied to him with a smile. "You may go now since that I am back. Thank you for taking my spot for a moment.", she continued to say to him.
Ensign Beaker gave a smile and nerviously stood up. "You're welcome. All upgrades are done.", he replied to her. He exited from the bridge.
Ganesa sat down in her chair as she thanked him again. Her hands quickly moved across the console to run more system checks and monitor the communications. She then tapped on her commbadge. +T+ "LtJg Grab Foot ~Of~Two Dawns, care to talk?", she asked of him. Offered her ears to him if he wished to talk. Something that was just part of her personality.

As he layed there and stewed over how slow the doctor was being in releasing him, his comm badge chirped, the person calling him asking if he wanted to talk. As his ears tipped forward, he noted the concern in the females' voice.
At First, he didn't recognize owner of the voice, then he remembered the female Ops officer he briefly seen up on the bridge
He paused in answering and thought of what he may want to talk about but came up with nothing. He then tapped his badge to answer
=T= "I can think of nothing to talk about at this time. Do you have a particular topic you wish to discuss?" =T=
He paused waiting for a reply

Ganesa listened for the reply back from LtJG Grab Foot ~Of~Two Dawns. "No topic in paticular, really.", she replied to him. "When we passed each other on the turbo lift, I've sense that something was on your mind and thought you might like to talk.", she continued to say to him.
Ganesa didn't really know what was on his mind, only that he was upset about something. Of course, she was only being friendly. She watched her console as different reports/readings came up on her console. Her slender fingers gently glided across the console as she continued to monitored.

As he was talking with Ann, the Doctor and now some strange Alien being he'd never met, and happen to correctly guess his name, he recieved the call from the bridge. He listened to the message and his whiskers quivered in thought
"My thoughts are rather personal and I would rather not discuss them at this time" He quickly glanced at the three females that was around him, then added as an after-thought "or anytime.."
He returned his focus back to the three that was near him, leaving the link open should the one on the bridge respond

Ganesa heard that he rather not talk about that incident at that moment or ever. Which she could pretty much understand why he may not want to. "That is no problem at all.", she replied to him. "Perhaps I should let you get back to what you were doing, but I do have one quick question for you.", she continued to say to him. "Would you care for a game of poker while off duty?", she asked him.
As she waited for a reply, Ganesa watched of how different information came up on her ops console. Watched of how different communications came and went, nothing for her to be that concerned. She knew that Grant had everything under control.

As he heard the voice from the bridge again, his ears picked up so that he could hear her better, as if he had a problem to hear her from the beginning. His ears tipped forward when she said that it was no problem at all for not discussing his personal feelings. He thought to himself that others would have continued to press him to talk about it, which would upset him more, enough to tell them they shouldn't stick their tails in a slicebill's nest ( in other words, still their nose in where it don't belong ) He hen nodded, thinking that he may like this new person that's on the bridge
As she posed her question about a game of poker when his shift ends, his interest peaked even more and he tried not to sound too eager
"I would like that very much, miss..." He then realized he had never gotten her name "... I'm sorry, miss. I do not seem to recall getting your name" Even though, she had gotten his somehow
He paused and waited for her answer

Post by Major Duncan Kinsely on Dec 10, 2007 0:13:00 GMT -5
Major Duncan Kinsely walked through the airlocks and onto USS Terrasect and spoke with the Master Chief on board near the airlock. Gave him the PADD he had to let me review the contents. As the Master Chief looked over his PADD, Duncan noticed that the ship was on yellow alert. The Master Chief looked over the PADD and gave it back to him as he saluted Duncan. Brenda came up behind Duncan with some of her belongings.
"Welcome aboard, sir.", the Master Chief said to Duncan. He looked over towards Brenda. "Welcome board, Ma'am.", he replied to her.
"Thank you.", Duncan replied to him. "Thank you.", Brenda also replied to him.
"Why are we under yellow alert?", he asked him.
"There has been a slight problem in Three Foward. Security and Captain Harsting is already on it, sir.", Master Chief replied to Duncan.
Duncan listened to what the Master Chief said and gave a nod. "Thank you.", he replied to him. "I should go ahead and head over there anyways. Need to report in to him."
"Yes, sir.", Master Chief replied back to him.
Brenda looked over towards Duncan with a smile. "Would you like for me to take your things to our quarters for you while you go check that out? Plus, don't you have to report to the Captain anyways?", she asked Duncan.
Duncan looked at her and smiled. "There is no need for you to over do yourself.", he said to her.
"I could get one of the young officers here to help me.", she replied to Duncan.
"I can have Private Worthingston help her, sir.", the Master Chief spoke up.
Duncan looked over to him and gave him a nod. "Thank you, Master Chief.", he replied to him. He turned to look at Brenda and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "I shall see you later.", he said to her.
Brenda returned his kiss with a smile. "Be careful.", she said to him. With the help of Private Worthington, she headed towards the quarters.
Duncan turned and made his way down the corridors of the ship. Carried his PADD in his hands as he began to make his way towards the turbo lift down the corridor. He stepped into the turbo lift.
"Deck 1, Bridge.", he said to the TL computer. He felt the turbo lift ascends towards deck one.
"Computer, tell Captain Harsting that I have arrived and will be heading towards the bridge.", he said to the computer.
Moments later, he arrived on Deck One and exited out of the turbo lift. He walked out onto the bridge and looked around to see who was on the bridge. Stepped over towards where the command chair was and tapped on the console on the arm rest. Brought up the crew roster.

Note: Takes place after conversation with the Doctor in Sickbay
Sam was heading back up to the bridge, to confirm the departure time for the Terrasect, nursing a cup of secrete caffeine blend that a young engineering ensign made for him a few years ago, they just called it “Caff”. In short, it was just straight liquid caffeine, mixed with a chemical compound reminiscent of energy stims, sugar and protein. It tasted like radiated tar, but then again…
The turbo lift doors opened and he stepped out, PADD in hand, Caff in the other. He took another drink from it as he walked over and reviewed Security Operations on an unused console.
He noticed that there was a ‘late’ arrival aboard the Terrasect, a senior officer even. Sam read ‘flipped’ through the report to find out who, and what the deal was, when he got to the name he couldn’t help himself from speaking aloud “Major Kinsely? Well that son of a…”; loud enough for the good Major to hear him as he stood in front of the empty Captain’s Chair… He turned as the Major spoke, an embarrassed yet humor filled grin on Sam’s face…

The situation having long been resolved, Jim headed towards the turbo lift, as he heard the computer notify him that Major Kinsely was aboard. Jim smirked a bit, and entered the Turbo Lift.
"Deck One, Main Bridge."
He exited the bridge, seeing Sam facing Mr. Kinsely.
"Well, well. Seems to me that there's a bit of a reunion going on here." He said as he exited the Turbo Lift, heading towards the two men. He offered his hand to Duncan. "Welcome Aboard, Duncan."

Duncan looked up from the small console on the armrest and Sam walked onto the bridge and over to the security console. Smirked as he heard him spoke aloud. "It is nice to see you, too, Sam.", he replied to Sam. "I bet you weren't expecting to see me anytime soon.", Ducan replied jokingly.
He heard the turbo lift doors opened again and looked to see Captain Harsting approached him onto the bridge. As natural for a Marine, he saluted him and then took his hand for a handshake.
"Thank you, sir.", Duncan replied to Jim.

"LtJG Ganesa Ravious.", she replied to LtJg Grabfoot Of~Two Dawns.
Ganesa heard someone walked onto the bridge and turned slightly to see who it was. She saw that it was someone that she had not met. Turned to look back at her console and monitored the ops controls. As she monitored the ops controls, she heard LtCmdr Grant and Cpt Harsting arrived back on the bridge. She gave a smile as she heard them become reaquainted. She waited for a moment before she gave her report. Once it was appropriate for her to speak up, she spoke up.
"Captain Harsting, all upgrades have been completed. The ship is still under yellow alert. Shall I take it back down to green, sir?",she asked her. Ganesa had not gotten a report that everything was all well and still had the yellow alert up.
