After the clean-up had been completed and all traces of the alien material had been destroyed there was still the matter of the files to contend with, specifically the scans and the modifications made to their own equipment. Reluctantly she had transferred the information to a data disk, erased the files and then gone down to engineering to locate the original equipment she, Justin and Kyah had worked on. She knew he had taken longer than was prudent to deal with this aspect but they had only scratched the surface of what this technology could do and she loathed having to treat it, not as a brilliant discovery which could revolutionize the Fleet, but as a dangerous infection that could not be allowed to spread. Perhaps rashly at that point, she decided to copy the information from the disc to her own padd. It was then that the ship had gone to Yellow Alert and without stopping to determine the cause, Cordais quickly took a lift back to the bridge.

Counselors. Among other things, her experience in Starfleet had taught her how to spot them from a mile away. The few with whom she was acquainted were nice enough people, but the very nature of their job meant that most of them were constantly trying to pry into her past.
Needless to say, she found that aspect of their job distasteful. So when Kestra came and introduced herself she hesitated for a moment before turning to reply.
“Valara,” she was quick to correct the Counselor. The oversight was a common one, but one that would always garner a response on her part.
“Unlike most cultures within the Federation, Bajorans use their family name first. Elika is my given name.”

Slightly agitated he turned towards the tactical station. "Ensign Moon, is it there or not?"
After glancing at the sensor logs himself his tone calmed down, "Run a level one diagnostic on the sensor array."
"If someone is alive over there..." he trailed off in thought before rendering a decision.
"Major, assemble your away team now. Take every precaution we discussed, check for survivors, and find out what happened over there."

She checks the computer files and sees that Lt. t'Fveik had deleted all the computer files pertaining to the alien technology. She continues to write her reports, and hammering out the duty schedule.

"I'm sorry, 2nd Lieutenant Valara.", she would reply to her. Kestra, for the moment, forgot of how Bajorans place their surnames. She did not mind at all being corrected. She knew and understood that not everyone would want to open up right away. Kestra learned to take time and earn their trust.
"I have heard that you joined our crew and figured I could introduce myself to you. You can call me Kestra if you wish.", she replied to her.
Kestra was never that all big on being called by her rank. She wanted to give more of a friendly atmosphere when she introduced herself.
"I would like you to know that my door is always open if you want to talk about anything. Don't have to worry about me trying to pry into someone's past. I learned that if someone wants to talk to me about their past, they will on their own time.", she continued to say to her with a sincere smile.
"And perhaps I could show you around the ship if you want."

Kasia arrived on the bridge, and walks up to MacDougall who was in command. "Reporting as ordered sir."
She wonders what the heck was going on. And wishes not for the first time nor the last that the bridge contacted sickbay more often. Or better yet, she could rig up a system so they knew all communications to and from the bridge as well as everything that went on up here. She starts making a plan in her head as to how to do it as she stands at attention.

Sensors have picked up intermittent traces of life signs. I'd like you to join the away team, if there is anyone left alive, they're likely going to be in bad shape. Since we could be dealing with some kind of virus the away team will be in EVA suits, and the transporter buffers will be kicked up to maximum. Are there any other precautions you'd recommend?"

Being the eternal cynic Valara was relatively sure that the Counselor was just telling her what she wanted to hear. “Very well, Kestra it is.”
“A tour of the ship might be nice, although I’m afraid I’m a bit too busy to go right this moment. Another time perhaps?”
She had at least fifteen things on her mind that needed doing, and while she tried to conceal that fact it was written all over her face. Nevertheless, she remained there, standing silently, as she awaited Kestra’s response.

"Of course.", Kestra would say to her with a smile.
She was use to fighter pilots always being so busy. Her brother is a Fighter Pilot Commanding Officer on USS Pegasus and knew how busy he could be at times. Sometimes, she wondered how her own brother could do it.
"I'm glad that I am able to have met you.", she would say to her. "I'll let you get back to your work."

He felt the spike of irriation as MacDouggal turned towards as he reported twice the two life sign signals and then there disappearance. He didn't blame the Colonel. His irritation mirrored his own
After glancing at the sensor logs, MacDouggal had squelched his irritation and asked him to do a level one diagnostic
He gave a nod and said "Yes, Sir" before he started the diagnostic on the sensor array

Justin sipped on a cup of coffee as he walked into main engineering. One of the engineers came up to him and reported to him about some files about the aliens have been deleted. Also, had told him about a meeting for all senior officers in the observation and about a faulty replicator in a junior officer's quarters.
"Tnanks. It is only precaution for the files to be deleted. Plus, there were orders to remove all trace about the aliens.", he would say to him.
The young engineer gave a nod and went to go repair a faulty replicator that was in a junior officer's quarters. Justin would go into his office to pick up a PADD with reports on them and would turn to begin to make his way out of engineering. Right before he left engineering, he placed his empty coffee cup in the replicator and recycled it.
He walked down the corridor towards the turbo lift. The doors opened for him as he entered. "Bridge.", he would say. He could feel the turbo lift ascend to the bridge.
The turbo lift would stop and the doors open as he steps out onto the bridge. Justin would walk over to a console for engineering and quickly tapped on it to bring up engineering status.

She continued to monitor the heading and speed once they entered transporter range she reported in.
"Sir, since we are dealing with a possible medical situation I suggest we maintain a safe distance. The extra transporter time of a second or two will cut down on the risk factor."
Waits for instructions to maintain a holding position.

Sure she was working on it, but she was no where near as experienced as the other doctors. Sure as Kaz she had plenty of experience as an officer, but not as a medical officer, this was a whole new territory. She gulps silently She wonders what exactly was going on. "Well sir, I would propose that all away team memembers take an injection to prevent against radiation poisoning and most known toxins and viruses that starships come across. It wont cover everything, but It should help some. We also have to take into affect that this might be a totally unkown virus or other calamidity. There could be Subspace aliens that we cant detect, so may I suggest that we have a transporter lock on all away team members at all times."She hopes she isnt being too forward as she awaits his reply. He had asked for her oppinion after all...but she knew she tended to babble when she was formulating ideas and scenarios.

Her eye movements show shes in a state of rem. She dreams of her late husband David, on the day he was murdered. She and David weren't in the same division. She was with the 101st Pathfinders and he was in 22nd Air Hawks. They met during the Dominion War, on the USS Washington. Like most wartime romances it was a whirlwind romance.
Three years later, he was killed by Major Johnson, Col McPherson, and Major Lee. She saw the actions just before his murder and then her eyes fully opened for the first time since she entered the coma. She looked around and saw she was in sickbay.
She looked at the far wall, at another bio bed that had lights blinking. She focused on the lights for a few minutes and then closed her eyes.
OOC: I'm drawing on personal experience of when I came out of a coma. Unlike the movies and TV, you don't wake up and start dancing, its a slower process.
