It seems like forever since anything was heard from the away team but he knew it was only a few minutes. He was starting to get antsy for something to do, other then just stand there and wait.
As if an answer to his silent musings, his console started bleeping at him. His eyes drifted to the sensors then to Colonel MacDougall, reporting
"A transporter inhibitor field has dropped, at least partially, allowing transport of some of the people over there. sensors indicate it is some of the 37 people that's over there that are sick and/or injured and Dr. Kaz. I get the feeling that they're beginning to trust us. I can transport on your mark"
His hand moved over to the transporter controls and waited

She nodded as he spoke to her. Tapping on her comm badge.
"USS Tarawa, this is Major Aniri. Please begin transport of the injured and sick along with Kaz. Then transport the away team back minus me. I will be staying here to assure the safety of the away team."
"Their actions, are dictated by a sense of need. There have been numerous complaints filed with Star Fleet on the appalling conditions they have endured. I have read the records myself showing the complaints and the dates when they were filed."
"They have asked for assistance, waited for a response. This is now their response to being ignored by Star Fleet. The crew of this ship has been transfered to a planet, they are safe and well."
"Please begin transport now. I am removing my com badge to insure I am not transported back by error. Aniri out."
After removing her badge, she dropped it to the floor and move back. Looking at the leader, "I have met your demands, now let them go. Your people will be treated."

He heard the transmission from the Major and relayed the message to Colonel MacDougall, furrowing his brows in irritation as the Major would think he could transport her out by mistake
"Major Aniri is requesting a beam-out of the Doctor, the sick and injured and the away team, save herself. I'm guessing as an act of good faith. Upon her orders, I shall begin transporting the sick and injured along with Dr. Kaz"
He does as he says, getting a tranporter lock on Dr. Kaz and then a group of the sick and injured, then he starts transporting people over

Kaz is finally transported back over to the Tarawa. Immediatly she starts helping them to bio beds and directs the medical staff to make them as comfortable as possible.
"Start treating these people for exhastion, and diflourine. Also take measures to make sure they are properly nourished."
She returns to the child who was now sleeping on a bio bed their mother was right beside them.
"She will be fine, Dont worry." she says reassuringly as she begins to treat the mother.

"Sir, I finally have a response. The away team is being beamed back per Major Aniri's orders. She's remaining, I believe as a willing participant. She would only have done that to ensure the safety of the everyone."
"She's given a brief report and I can patch it to you, or summarize it." She waits for his response.

She hears about the injured and sick from the Superior being beamed over. She turns around at her station. "I volunteer to assist in sickbay, sir. I know my way around a med kit. If I am needed, that is."
She waits for a response. She could interview the patients as she helped, and find out much more quickly and accurately what the heck was going on than any database search.

Ever since Kyah had mentioned Algol, he’d been doing whatever he could to maintain composure. Since that moment he’d been simply him going through the motions, clinging to the smallest shred of hope that their working theory was wrong. Then Major Aniri came over the comm. and all that hope went out the window. There was a long pause on his end before he finally mustered a response. “Beam them all directly to sickbay Ensign. Go ahead Lieutenant Kinsely, do everything you can for those people. Captain Dorius, transmit your course computations to the Superior.”
“Major, we’ve plotted a course for the Algol system, you should be receiving our course computations momentarily. We’ll get underway as soon as the Superior is ready to depart.”

Confused, Cordais looked to the others. Perhaps they knew something more? They were told Major Aniri would be here to brief them and then without further explanation they were transported back to Tarawa. So far, they had not even been ordered to attend a debriefing. And where was Aniri? At least, Cordais thought, she could finally remove the fvadt environmental suit. While it was very efficient in protecting them from outside dangers and extremities, inside left something to be desired. Provided she was given the time, a shower and change of uniform was the first order of business

After beaming back to the Tarawa he removes his helmet and looks around seeing Major Aniri was no their, slamming his helmet down
"It seems we are not good enough for an explanation" he says as he sits down, and leans back against the wall
"When were debriefed I guess we'll find out what the Sam Hell is going on"
Looks at Lt. Kinsely "Do you know anything"

Kasia continues to care for the various patients. She had the refugees from the other ship put into a seperate room so that they could have some peace and quiet. She gave most of them sedatives to be able to sleep. They were all now being treated for the contamination, and exhastion. A few of them also had some minor illnesses. Thankfully none of them needed surgery of any kind.
She sighs, and sets a nurse to monitor them while she contacts the bridge.
"Nurse Kaz to the Bridge, the refugees are settled into one of the medical bays and are resting. They have no contagious diseases, and are being treated for what they do have." She says reporting in.

With the wounded and the away team back aboard the Tarawa the moment of truth was rapidly approaching. It was unlike anything he had imagined. These Starfleet officers were not only willing to listen, but they seemed to genuinely want to help. While this was always a possibility, he had dismissed it as wishful thinking long ago. The Major’s words were concise but poignant. After years of having nothing but the clothes on his back and a few scraps of food to feed his family he was in control. “Regardless of the outcome, I want to thank you for your efforts Major. If your crew holds the same values you do I have no doubt the situation will be resolved shortly.”
After receiving the transmission from the Tarawa a private conversation between Santos and Lynarra ensued. Although it took some time to come to a decision, they agreed to follow the course the Tarawa had provided. After adopting a policy a cautious optimism, Santos indicated his readiness. “Signal the Tarawa and inform them that we’re ready to engage at warp seven on their mark.”

Once they were back on board he contacted the away team, “Lieutenant t’Fveik, Lieutenant Kinsely, and Private Greathouse report to the observation lounge.”
Moments later Nurse Kaz reported in. “Acknowledged, good work Lieutenant. Is your presence required, or could you join us in the observation lounge to discuss the current situation?”
Before Kaz could respond the signal from the Superior was received. “Captain Dorius, engage at warp seven and maintain an open comm. line with the Superior. You have the bridge.”
Once they were en route he made his way to the observation lounge where he awaited the away team’s arrival.
