"Perhaps but its your interruption." she waited for his answer.

He thought for a moment then finally decided he had and answer. You ask me who I'm at war with? He looked at her with concentration in his eyes. My enemies are ages old, with much more experience than I. They permeate this ship, my homeworld and even the Federation vessels. My enemeis are tradition, that long standing code that starts with 'This is the way we always did it' or "Its what I was taught'. Perception, that oldest of enmeis that stereotypes a race by its past or when a race uses that past to change its future. Much like the donimion changelings being persecuted so their solution was to take over and rule. And finally, Fear: Fear is the worst one of all because most fear what they cannot percieve. So as you can see, I've got mighty enemies.

She raised an eyebrow, "Why would one choose to go war with all of them at once?"

One never chooses to go to war. He pointed out. One is simply thrust into by circumstances.

"Until the declaration of war is stated there is always ways to find a solution. And if not, then to lessen the impact of such a declaration."
"Again why the declaration of war?"

Its not a war of violence, its a war of ideas entirely different tactics.

She smiled, "True. And the effects on the mind are just as harsh, mutilating, and at its worse cause a break down."

If you are unwise, yes. He smiled. A wise warrior picks and chooses its battles.

"Could you do that all the time. Three such fierce enemies at once can wear done even the most observant."

I'll be smart and pick my battles where I can be the most effective. Would't that be your tactic.

"Actually they wouldn't. To me it is wiser to use fear as a guide instead of fighting. There is much to learn about self and fear can take us there. Fear also installs the proper amount of caution. So If properly approached it can be a friend."
"But then thats always the case. Enemies are only friends we no longer embrace. Tradition gives sense of stability, in a universe of change."
"Perception is needed to guide who and how to interact with another. Only when these things trap, ensnare one does it keep one locked in, avoiding change."

It would not be those qualities in me that I would be fighting those of them in others. . He drank his tea. Reha, I've been a soldier most of my adult life. Had I not learned to master my fear I wouldn't be here. As far as perception, I do not let my perspective exceed my ability to learn new things.
I guess what I was trying to say is that though what you say is true most people don't have that wisdom. To them, Tradition is a crutch that limits their thinking instead of ehancing it. Perception is a way of blinding themselves to the possibilities and Fear is the thing that feeds the latter two an allows it to grow into the ugly things in the universe.

When Terrh joined she walked out with him to the air lock that would lead them to the station. She watched as the FPCO walked out to go to the Fighters bay. It would have been nice if he could join them. But as always duty came first.
"I don't suppose theres much to see but it would be nice to get off the ship for awhile."

She tilted her head slightly while raising a brow. "If, I understood you correctly it is the supposed demons in others you would fight? And who is to say they are in their eyes an enemy to rally against?"

When I say fight I don't mean in the literal sense. He pauses to think of the right words. I mean that I have to, by my actions, change their perception of me. I have to be more so to speak. I have to do my job twice as well as a rihannsu would and be as efficient in all other matters too. I know that every race thinks theirs superior and the others inferior. I think that there are superior individuals and inferiror individuals in every race. I want to make them aware that I consider myself a superior person.
