They entered together and as they approached the desk she noticed everything. She tiled her head, eyes down cast, then looked at the Riov directly into his eyes, saluting as she did so.
"Marine Captain, Imaru Kor Dem spec. reporting as ordered sir."
She would not repeat the speech given to her by the liaison officer for fear of it being contrite and staged. She saw the daggers on the desk, her antennas twitched.

Hearing Captain Kor reporting he moves in right beside her snapping a salute and barking, "Master Gunnery Sergeant Thalev Claness reporting for duty."
He looks at the desk, antennas curving inward, and inside nods to himself. Though this was not an Andorian practice it was exactly what was expected of a Rihannsu officer. The daggers and blood oaths.

H'dean glances at the Andorians seeing the Female that called her self Captain, Imaru Kor. She seemed a little nervous, "maybe she feels like hum-mm! the Humans would say! the Old Ball Out" He thought to him self.
Then he noticed the second Andorian Master Gunnery Sergeant Thalev Claness "Yes that's his name" H'dean remembers when he states his name.
H'dean holds his glance on him "he cross trained and few a few times with us" He thinks trying to remember his call name "Call names something the lloann’mhrahel gave their pilots I quite liked mine" turns his gaze back to the Lieh.

Before t'Stellam had time to consider the Lieh's words fully, the Andorians entered. As they stepped up to the desk to report, she assessed both of them peripherally. Marines. They would not be directly in her chain of command but they would still have to coordinate with one another. She would have to find out exactly what the Marines' mission was aboard the Dhivael to ensure they did not conflict. In general, Marines trained and would be deployed as needed but on some ships they held secondary positions as well. Her attention returned to Riov Cretak. He had not yet returned her neca and further consideration of the Andorians would wait.

Acknowledging the new officers he takes note of their antenna movements and stance. The female, he would wager, had very little dealings with Rihannsu. The Sergeant though, appeared quite familiar with the neca laying on his desk and the one in his hand.
Returning their salute he also places them at ease. He turns and continues to speak to his Rihannsu officers.
"We will be preparing to leave the station in 8 hours to proceed to the training ground. I expect your sections to be completely ready for any challenge that is thrown our way. Erein t'Stellam I especially want security tight. I have heard that boarding is a popular test that the training Admiral likes to use."
Looking at t'Stellam he says,"You appear to have a question, Erein?"

She had eight hours (standard) to be fully ready. If all had been in order previously, this was more than enough time. That was something she would find out for certain as soon as she was able to get a status report. "Ssuaj-ha, Rekkhai. I understand what is expected and I have no questions."
( Ssuaj-ha "Understood." Inferior to superior mode )

He looks at t"Stellam and nods.
Turning to the marines he says, "You will work with security during this excercise. Captain Kor, though you are ranking marine on the Dhivael you will be working under security so Erein t'Stellam will coordinate all functions. Sergeant, you will also assist security but as I see in your records you have flight time on our fighters. You will avail yourself to aid the Flight Leader if needed."

She looked at him as he spoke to her. At first her antennas lashed, then laid back, finally coming to rest facing him.
"Understood Sir. I will avail myself to the Erien as a superior officer for the time necessary."
Her face and voice showed no true expression, and could if she choose to copy any emotion she felt he would find acceptable.

Judging by the Andorian Marine's response, she was as pleased to be working under her as t'Stellam was; however, this was not the time to address the issues, both personal and professional that existed between them. She decided on an unusual course. Both the Rihannsu and the Andorians were proud warrior races who would seek death before subjugation. She would acknowledge this as well as the Captain's experience. Once she'd had the opportunity to assess their current status, she would send the information to Kor and request her recommendation.

He listened intently as the orders were issued. When Riov Cretak announced the break down of responsibility he watched as his new lodge mate's furry articulated itself. He too felt the sting of anger for her position and his antenna twitched and laid back for the briefest moment before he also controlled his emotion and refocused.
He did, however, look forward to possible flight time. It was always one of his passions to fly combat missions.

Noting the agitation in both his Andorian officers he continued, "Very good Captain. I believe very heavily in cross training and cross duties when applicable. The more key positions that have a double redundancy have aided my command many times in the past. If one officer or crew member goes down there is a seamless transition to another qualified member of the crew."
Looking back at the four of them he concludes, "You all have your areas to start getting ready for the up coming shake down cruise. Are there any questions or concerns you would like to address before I request loyalty oaths from my Rihannsu officers?"

She looked at him, remembering the importance of looking at him directly in his eyes. Her emotions fully in check, she had already belittled herself for the brief loss of control. Reminding herself of the need of self control, especially on a Rihannsu vessel.
"No sir, I have no questions, nor concerns at the moment."

He looks at Kor and nods. Looking at the neca he is holding he turns to his Daise'Dheno (chief of security).
"You have your orders, Erein. Are you prepared to swear oath?" he looks at the neca and back at her, staring deep into her eyes. He wanted to make sure the Andorians saw the oath swearing and understand it's meaning on board a Rihannsu vessel.

t'Stellam was anxious to be done with the formalities and to be released to duty. There was a great deal to prepare for. She'd known the Lieh was strongly in favor of the traditional ceremonies and accepted it, though to her it was no more than a confirmation of what already existed. Locking her eyes with Cretak's, she stared back using the moment to study the Fire so apparent in him. It was as deep as her own and she breathed it in as a necessary part of her existence.
"Ie Riov."
(Yes, commander.)

There were a few different customs to swearing allegiance. One way occurred with his earlier officers reporting in and swearing oath on their on volition. In t'Stellam's case she is requesting him to define the terms he sees and not what she is willing to give. He notes this with interest.
"Erein Lyretha t'Stellam then by the 4 Elements of Jaeih (Air), Avilh (Earth), Ocala (Fire), and Ihhuein (Water) do you swear to defend this ship and the Empire with your life? And if you do so swear this oath are you also prepared to forfeit your life if you dishonor ship or Empire?"
