Entering her office she stood at attention then saluted, remaining at attention Veralen began her report.
"I was given additional training to facilitate certain upgrades which would remain in effect while the Khrien was aboard. And to adjust to the increased sensitivity of the controls. Since there are a number of ways this can be achieved, it was decided that the engineer use the one he feels is best for this ship."
"He will be informed of the needed increase percntages to the shields and weapons. Should he find this too daunting a task to be completed on time, a request can be made for a Rihannsu engineer to do it. "
"I was also informed it should be explained that the only reasons for this is the presence of the Khrien. Therefore once she is gone, they are to be dismantled."

Specialized training simply to facilitate certain upgrades? The Khrein could have directed these upgrades herself without taking one of her officers off ship and going through Galae Command. As usual with the Tal Shiar, it was never as simple as it appeared to be. t'Vlack had already commandeered the Diplomatic officer to work as her personal assistant, now it seemed that she had plans for the Tactical officer as well.
"Very well." She said tightly. "Of course we wish to do everything possible to keep the Khrein safe. You will see to it that I remain informed of the progress and of any additional changes that Command has deemed necessary?" The last was a question of courtesy. Liordra understood that Sahen had been placed in a difficult situation herself. She now had to serve both the needs of ship and of the Khrein. Failure to either would be deadly.

"Le, Riov. I will attend to this. And of course keep you informed."
She felt that everyone lately was passing the ball to her. And she never wanted nor tried out for this particular game, one that could result in her death if there was mis-step on her part. But on the other hand be a career boost.

"Lh'urstev". (Dismissed). She turned back to her work. Time only would tell if Sahen was capable of balancing the duties now required of her.

She saluted then turned and walked out. Going to her console she called up the requirements so she could speak to the engineer.

"Enter!" She said lightly as she finished up a second cup of tea. She then stood and brushed several crumbs from the pastry she had eaten from her tunic, but did not return to her desk, despite the growing number of reports and requests received.

He heard the light invitation to enter and he done so. First thing that came to his attention is the Riov standing brushing what looked to be crumbs from her tunic. He us amused by this but also, and mostly, surprised by this action. Normally, the Riov is usually neat and tidy. He adds that mental note to his growing list of abnormalities concerning the Riov.
He walked up to her desk, seeing that she chose to stand, instead of return to her seat "Riov, I wish to speak with you on something that I and the other saehne-a have been noticing."

"Certainly. Seat yourself and be comfortable." She tapped a console button and the sounds of a delicate chime floated though the office.
"It has been too long since I have been able to enjoy the evening winds, Eisn's rays dipping below the horizon, the call of a seabird flying low over the waves or of an insect in the field"
She smiled and looked at him gently, almost affectionately.
"What do you miss, Saren?"

He seated himself at the Riov's invitation, noting the sound of music, or more accurately a chime gentlu floating within the confines of the room
"It has been too long since I have been able to enjoy the evening winds, Eisn's rays dipping below the horizon, the call of a seabird flying low over the waves or of an insect in the field"
He turned his attention to her, seeing the smile on her face, one that held a hint of affection. He couldn't help but raise his a brow in concern. She is not acting herself. Before he could respond, thoughts of the Eisn's setting in the eve filled his thoughts. His brow lowered and he done something he is not known for doing. He smiled back at her
At her inquiry of what he missed. He thought for a moment before responding "I too miss the Eisn's dip into the sea every eve. I have not prayed to the Element of Water as of late. I also miss the company of family and the courtship of a woman. I wish to have children one day should I meet the woman I am destined to be with." He confided in her, smiling still and relaxing into his chair

She appeared sad as if he had touched something unfulfilled in her as well. "Someday, ie." She poured each of them a fresh cup of tea, taking the obligatory first sip before setting her cup down again.
"Your family is a well- respected one I believe and you have proven yourself in service. Any woman who's favor you sought ought to consider herself fortunate in being the recipient of your attentions." Her eyes met his briefly , searchingly.
She folded her hands in her lap. "I have never had a suitor. My service to the Empire has always come first. I would also like a family and children..someday."

His smile faded slight as he caught the expression of sadness cross her facial features for a brief moment. He looked a bit thoughtful as he presumed that her feelings seem to mirror his in terms of wanting to settle down and start a family, but that was after they both fully served the Empire to their best of abilities. His mind came back t the present, he accepting the cup of tea that she poured for him "Hann'yyo" He commented politely
"Your family is a well-respected one I believe and you have proven yourself in service. Any woman who's favor you sought ought to consider herself fortunate in being the recipient of your attentions." His smile returns as he is honored by her compliment and her noticing his record and family status "Ie, Any woman indeed.." He agreed, catching the brief probing look from her as she took a sip of tea, a look of longing but also reservation in his own eyes
She then confided to him "I have never had a suitor. My service to the Empire has always come first. I would also like a family and children..someday."
He nods and looked a bit thoughtful, his service to the empire always came first as well and he thought for a moment that they were much alike, even though he is reluctant to admit it verbally or mentally "That is a bit surprising, Riov. If I may say so, you would honor any man you chose to claim as your husband. May the Elements watch over us and bless us with wonderful families when the time shall come." He said with a smile, that reached his eyes. Himself included, he thought

"Do you think so?" She asked when he stated he thought any man would be honored to be her mate. She stood and walked around behind him as he sat, stopping very close then bending to whisper in his ear. "Even you Saren? She breathed. Her hands dropped to his shoulders and caressed them lightly.

He watched her movements and her reaction carefully, giving a nod as she inquired of his opinion. "Ie, I do think so, Riov. It is my direct opinion." He watched her, turning his head slighly as she walked around and behind him, where he could now feel her behind him
He sat up straighter as he felt her breath against her ear, her whispered words a light brush as they entered and his mind absorbed them. Suddenly he felt nervous and his senses went on alert "Ie.. e-even me.." When she touched his shoulders, he is very tense but after experiancing her light caresses to his shoulder for a couple moments, he began to relax

"Please, call me Liordra." She continued gently massaging his shoulders, pleased when he relaxed, then slid her hands down over his chest.
"It is not unusual that two officers might find joy together after serving together."

He closed his eyes and enjoyed the soft massages to his shoulders "Liordra.." He murmured, nearly sighing the word
He felt her hands and arms slide from his shoulders down to his chest and he practically melted in her arms. He layed his head back and felt the softness of her tunic over her chest
Suddenly, the commander in him came back with a vengeance. Swiftly, but gently, he reached for her arms and lifted them up and he slid out of them and the chair to his feet, He turned to face her, his brows furrowed, but other then that the rest of his expression is neutral "Riov. This is highly irregular. I came in to speak to you of an urgent matter. I have noticed, and so have some of the other saehne-, that you are acting oddly, even peculiar. I would respectfully ask for an explanation." He said, his expression set, watching for her reaction
