He waited a few minutes but no response from Hall. The orders for Iverson to launch had gone out and he needed to know what they had planned.Iverson had an emergency transponder he had told her to pick one up but the Tarawa was out of range to transport from the planet.
That meant if it went off they would have to charge in.Also there were many ways to jam a tranport. That is why he had to know what Hall and Jay had come up with.He guessed they were still in a meeting hashing things out and perhaps Hall had not heard him.
Tapping his Comm Badge once more,"Hall I need to know what you and Jay have planned out in case Iverson gets in trouble out there."If he got no response this time he would contact Major Aniri. That would mean Hall probably had a faulty Comm Badge.

Jack watched the shuttle leave making his mission successful. He had decided that his next job would be to do a full diagnostic on the transporter system. He wanted to make sure they were fully functional and if he could boost the range a bit in case there was call for a 'snatch and grab'. He sent a message to Main Engineering that he was on his way. This was the part of being on a new ship he hated. You never new how anyone would perform in a crisis till one presented. itself.

She got the go head for departure. She took a deep breathe and while not telepathic she thought, "Be a good boy, I be back soon, my little man."
The shuttle lifted off the deck plating and began to move forward. As it inched to the door her mind moved into full Sandy on a mission mode as she called it. The shuttle left the lights of the shuttle bay behind entering the darkness of space with pin points for lights. The emptiness, combined with the darkness and pinpoint lights was always an awesome sight for her. And placed things in perspective concerning their place and importance.
As explained in her flight plan she turned about moving in an opposite direction from the ship for 100 meters then turning starboard she exited the system. This would place her re entry into their system at 90 degrees from the Tarawa point of entrance and departure from the planets orbit.
She re entered the system and maintained communication blackout. She continued to mimic a Russian accent and then decided this branch of the Kaine's were in America. Sandy's concern was in keeping true to the accent and she needed to be careful and consistent.
A few minutes later she reached the Planet.
"Planetary Control this is the USS Silver Fox, a private shuttle craft. Requesting permission to land."
Hearing the transmission come in, flight control Xan keyed a command into his console, and opened the channel to the shuttle. "U.S.S. Silver Fox, this is planetary control. What is your destination?"
"I'm going to the hospital in the capital, Juno." He sent the hospital a notification of arrival and then entered the coordinates into the computer, sending them to the incoming shuttle. "Permission granted. Transmitting landing coordinates now." "Thank you." A few seconds later she got the coordinates, "Ready for entry and beginning descent now."
"Acknowledged Silver Fox. Welcome to Juno. Planetary control out."

Jack arrived only thirty minutes ago and the MENG was alive with activity. He had given them a laundry list of duties from transporter to weapons and propulsion. He knew that the Colonel might need any or all of these to be working a peak proficiency, and he wanted to make sure they knew it too. He had heard that Winslow was returning. He hoped he would realize the gravity of the situation. Jack didn't want to have to explain to him. He was a good enough Engineer and very good with keeping the men loose, but he could be insufferable at times.
He looked at the main board. He reconfigured it to the view of the main viewer. He could see a tiny faint signal that was Major Iverson. He changed his display back, and went to his office. He replicated coffee and watched from his office as his Engineers worked to make the ship better, he only hoped it would be enough when the time came.

As Major Iversons shuttle descends into the atmosphere the sky begins to brighten and the stars fade. She finally breaks through a thin cloud bank.
Below her is a very large colony that has advanced itself to even have high rise buildings and shuttles moving from place to place.
Her flight path leads her over a large ground built space port.To her right are ten very large landing pads. They look as if they were built for atmospheric capable cargo ships.
As she glances over at one of the pads she can see a brief shimmer in the air .Just as fast as it was there it was gone a second at best. The Space Port was now out of view and she could see a large hospital with a large landing facility for shuttles just beside a parking area for hover vehicles.

When he did not hear from Hall a second time he decided to find out what was going on."Computer locate LT.Colonel Hall."The computer informed him he was in the main hangar bay.
"Computer locate Major Aniri."The computer informed him she was in her office."Captain Dorius you have the com I will be back in ten minutes top."
He exited the Bridge and made his way to the Security Office and rang the chime.

Seeing the Colonel enter, she stood. "Computer return environmental controls for human standards. Colonel have a seat would you like some Andorian tea?"

As he entered Major Aniri's office his COMM Badge went off and it was Hall.He explained that they had agreed to select five marines and five security.
Thinking to himself one should always have a basic plan set up.Even if it was just a rough draft of a hospital and how best to get in and out should they not be able to beam Iverson out.He made a mental note to talk to Hall about this but now was not the time.
,"Tea would be nice I have never had Andorian tea before."Taking a seat,"So Jay I came here to listen to your take on whats going on and why would they hold Colonel Kaine if they are?"
"I ask because I have known you Jay longer than anyone on this ship and I need a warrior's point of view."Hall was a great XO and he valued his opinion.Andorians were a warrior race and only she could give him a warrior's race take on this.

Marc still was waiting for a scramble sign for his fighters, but he knew it would be a moment. He knew there were scans taken of the planet both by Tarawa and other visiting vessels. He thought the best place to be was Astrometrics. He might get a topographical view of the planet surface. Part of him wanted to know what Sandy was in for, and the other part wanted to know what kind of sortee this might be.
He was only marginally surprised to find the Chief Engineer already there with the information on display. It had not been a secret on board ship of his burgeoning relationship with Colonel Kaine and he had quickly gotten a reputation on board ship for being thorough. If there was anything that he saw Marc was sure it would be valuable. As he approached Bradley turned suddenly. "Great minds, eh Captain?" Marc said with a salute.

Jack had been studying the information the screen when he heard footsteps. He was working in Engineering when the call came down from Astrometrics. It was a routine fix, but it was an excuse that he gladly took. After repairing the minor problem with the interface, he had to 'test' his work. He had already noticed that this was a nightmare scenario as far as the landscape went. He heard footsteps and saw the CAG officer Marc Lassiter. He had only met him briefly and not yet officially. He knew of his involvement with Iverson as much as he knew of Jack's with Kaine. When he addressed him in the familiar his first instinct was to step on him, but he did salute and Lassiters reputation for playing things fast and loose had proceeded him.
"I do not like this map." He said turning his attention back to the display. "Urban, theaters are always unpredictable. Everyone about you is a potential enemy."

He listened as Jack gave his assessment and found he had a good eye, and his mind was sharp. He knew that Engineer or not he was still a Marine and thought as such. "Agreed." He said with a nod. "Its not going to be easy on the pilots either. Command likes 'surgical strikes'. It won't do if we have a high rate of civilian casualties. I don't know if where Ivey landed is the same place they are holding Kaine. We can only hope that isn't the case. An isolated area would be more ideal if we have to do a rapid extraction."

She handed him the tea and gave him the milder of the two that was most popular on Andor. She sat down opposite him listening. Her antenna curved slightly in his direction.
"'Why would they hold her, to be honest Colonel, thats hard to say. This colony and Star Fleet has never had a problem in the past, or has Star Fleet been slow its response to their needs. On the surface there is no reason. Unless they are engaged in illegal activities, and have concerns of being found out."
"Perhaps she has sought asylum for some reason. In analyzing this, there is no reason for her to do that. On the contrary she has more reasons to be here then there."
Sitting back she held her cup with both hands looking into the tea. Then looking up. "Another reason, what ever medical procedure they did on her failed. And for unknown reasons they are hiding that reason."
"Finally, there is a personal vendetta against her. If that is the case it would stem from the governmental seat. Unlikely but has been know to occur."
"Of the four possibilities the first one is more likely. Colonel Kaine stumbling onto something that could shut down the colony. And if that is the case then it would be from the main industrial sources that would stand the most to lose."
"And if so, it makes more difficult to find her. Mainly because your in an a very gray civilian area. Following that the personal vendetta also has a high chance."
On her desk was the city plan with notations in Andorian script, along with the floor plan of the hospital.
