She watched as Darten left her office. And got back to scheduling next months security roster. There was always something to do. The days of when she was just another security officer were long gone and she sometimes wished for their return. That was usually when the office work seemed to take longer then the security work that she loved.

She was at the helm maintaining heading and speed. On her senors she detected a small piece of debris she altered the course by 3.09 starboard for 25 seconds then returned to the previous course.

She finally finished the "paper work" standing she stretched, then left her office to go to the bridge. Entering she went directly to the security console relieving the officer there. She ran a check of the moniters making sure all security teams were where they needed to be. She then went over the latest bridge reports.

Along the way as he headed to his post he chuckled about the fact that Saris did'nt see the Major before he did. Looked like he might get off easy. Maybe she would even forget about the little incident. Who knows. He could always get lucky.

Since the head nurse seemed to be in her own world for the time, the new CMO began exploring the sickbay, trying to learn all the variances from the norm that this sickbay had as opposed to all the others in the fleet. She quickly noted the differences in positioning the Neonatal ICU nursery and surgical wards next to each other just in case that there was a case where they were going to be needed in a hurry by the mother and child due to some complication.
She nodded with approval the positions of the labs and pharmaceutical areas in respect to the patient wards as well as the location for all the rest of the different areas that she was expected to oversee.
Finally, she went to the Morgue, the final stop on her tour and placed two small, intricately carved, "Eternal" candles in some wall scones on the inner side of the door and clicked them on in token of the Light that she hoped that the ones who slept forever there would find and peace from their sacrifice to aid their crewmates to stay alive. She placed a small basket of roses and rosemary on a table at the back of the room to subtly remind the ones that worked in there to remember to give the sleepers their dignity even while they were learning their secrets. Finally she knelt and said a prayer that she would never need to see the room used for any of her family, the new friends she was going to make aboard the ship and for Kal'enel, her people's warrior goddess, to watch over them all in all their activities. With that, she got up and went to check through the storerooms, doing an exhaustive inventory of all their supplies as well as meds and other equipment.
